All workplaces should just close down for the entirety of flu season. It would make everyone’s lives easier.

BUTTERSAFE EXPO 2014
WE ARE SNEAKING IT IN AT THE LAST MINUTE
BECAUSE THE LAST MINUTE IS STILL A GOOD MINUTE TO EAT PIZZA
When/Where/Huh?:
DECEMBER 23, 2014
5PM PACIFIC/8PM EASTERN
LIVESTREAM SERVICE: Google Hangout
For those of you who don’t know, every year we like to throw a global pizza party called Buttersafe Expo, or BSX. The idea is that everyone gets together with friends/family/strangers/themselves on the same day where ever they are in the world, obtains a pizza through whatever means they see fit, and then we all eat our pizzas and feel like a happy, friendly, global pizza-eating community. Every single person who eats pizza that day, no matter where they are, is part of Buttersafe Expo! Traditionally, Ray and I host a big BSX party near our hometown, and any Buttersafe readers in the area come to hang out with us and it’s all pretty radical.
Well, this year was a very busy year for us, with a lot of big, crazy goings-on in our personal lives, and we just never quite had the time to get BSX together… UNTIL NOW. We couldn’t let 2014 slip by without a BSX (it’s been an irregularly-timed-yet-still-yearly Buttersafe tradition), but the last minute nature called for a slightly different approach. We heard about this thing called The Internet, and we thought, “Hey, why don’t we try doing BSX there this year?”
So, in lieu of our normal BSX party, Ray and I will be turning on our webcam and hosting a Google Hangout on December 23rd at 5pm PST. We’ll order a pizza, broadcast ourselves while we eat it, and shoot the breeze with anyone who wants to come hang with us! There will be text chat for anyone who just wants to drop by, and if you have a webcam, a microphone, and a pizza, there should also be some limited spots to actual hop into the call with us!
We’ll generate a link for the hangout when the time comes and we’ll post it here on Tuesday, but your best bet is to follow us on our Twitter or Facebook to stay really up to date as we hash out the details of the BSX Internet Extravaganza. Or, of course, you are always welcome to just eat good ol’ offline pizza as always and not worry about it! Either way, we look forward to sharing pizza with you, either face to face, or more indirectly (and maybe even unknowingly).
We’ve never tried this before, so please excuse any technical difficulties we may run into. We’ll do our best to make this work! Regardless, it should be a lot of fun, and it will hopefully give us a chance to BSX it up with some of you folks in far away places that we aren’t normally able to meet up with.
See you soon!
