She always acted like I should be happy to see her when she came back, but I knew it just meant she’d be leaving again.

Hey friendos,

We have a new comic called King Death. Ray and I have been working super hard on it, and I’m very proud of how it has developed.

KD_Cover_01 small

Half comic, half storybook, it follows a young woman named Audrey, whose tale starts off at the most logical place to begin: her death. It’s got a little bit of everything: action, adventure, comedy, spooks, bones, ghoulies, snakes, sand, reflections on the nature of mortality and the myriad ways in which death contextualizes life, redheads, owls, etc. We will be releasing a new digital 24 page issue every other month.

The comic is available through a new subscription service called Omakase, by Viewster. It’s a nicely-curated experience put together by some friends of ours which includes video streaming, a bi-monthly anime merchandise box, and original music and comics by people like us and Leigh Davis. We realize that this type of service might not be your thing, in which case we may not be able to share King Death with you at the moment, but particularly if you’re an anime fan I can honestly and in good conscience recommend trying Omakase out. You can find more details at the Omakase site.

Okay, that’s all for now!
